Audiofrog GS Series

Or just use a tablet

Thats a whole nother ball game considering integrating a tablet aesthetically is quite hard as well as im not sure there is such a thing as a cheap tablet. a simple $50 crappy android phone would suffice and can be hidden easier.

fk all that bullsh*t just get an 80 prs or pioneer 2800 bs, plenty of tuning. Use USB or SD card and stop using your phone while driving. Just get a proper sound quality head unit and you can do most of everything you need on the go without needing to tune on a laptop.
Yes and no. The tuning should be done correctly the first time but its up to the shop to know how to tune and to sit him in the seat and tune to his liking. Who knows if they would do that. I was severely limited with just my 80prs when it came to tuning. Albeit tuning is a process of finding the correct FR curve and your sensitivity to certain frequencies. If he has a shop doing it, id probably say yea, just get an 80prs so you can have some tuning ability to yourself and you dont necessarily need to know all the ins and outs of DSP capabilities but if hes are willing to learn and wants to spend his money correctly the first time. I recommend the DSP. The 80prs will directly connect to your iphone and bypass its DACS.

you speak as if the shop has this knowledge. Most shops have no idea other than oh this brand i sell is the best! I hook your stuff up and leave bass boost on yes?!

I definitely want to spend my money correctly the first time. Since I am doing this in different stages, waiting to get the headunit and dsp towards the end is probably easier for me to learn. tuning shouldn't be a big deal until all speakers and sub are installed right?

Honestly I wouldnt hire a shop to do it. They are always wayyy over priced and we can walk you through anything you need to know.

Im trying to save you money and skip the headunit all together. Its a unconventional way to connect but i think its a Great way to stay stealth about it all. The iphone is tricky but you can always run a cheap android to it.

A good speaker is only as good as the install. Seal and deaden your doors correctly. Have your sub in a box thats correct for it. So yes, get your speakers/ sub installed first. Then onto amp settings, crossovers, time alignment and then lastly frequency response.

I've gotten work done from this shop before and has been very good. I know it's cheaper to do by myself but being a noob, I would rather have a professional do this work on my BMW. If it was a second hand car and I had time to do something like this I would definitely try it on my own.

I'm actually going to the shop to buy the audio frog sub and and an amp this weekend. I will ask him about a dsp.

The C-Dsp installs like any other. They would know how and as for the software, pm me an email and ill give you the software to play with or you can bring it to them on a flash drive and they can see what their opinion of it is. Its very simple.

Does this software only work with his dsp or does it also work with other programs on the computer?

Yeah bro they are VERY BADAZZ now......even their entry level RX line is very good. We have yet to have any product failures that wasn't due to installer error.
I love the comeback. They used to be ****** along with the arc zapco xtant and us amps.. **** to drool over.

I LOVE THE CLASS G amps but they are stupid tricky to get to sound good. Arc managed to get the rail switching good enough to keep output impedance low and slew rate high. Hope more companies go the g/h route and those nasty class d amps fall..
