thanks runblenthetrunk, i get tired of hearing, MTX, Focal, they all are so much better. i run audoibahn for subs and sub amp and my 4x6's in the dash, rockford fosgate for full range amp, rockford 6 1/2s front doors, phoenix gold tantrum 6 1/2s back doors, stinger pro cap with a rockford fosgate 9220g head unit, not bragging, i'm a non competor, but i love it loud any type of music sounds great in this setup,

i wasnt saying cost is everything, i run a type-r, one of the loudest cleanest subs out right now( //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif ) and you can find them on ebay for ~120 or less

imo (no offense to polecat cause i know he didnt make up the recomended enclosures for the l7 subs lol) you would have to be the type of person who thinks a bigger subwoofer is better reguardless to be dumb enough to put a 15 l17 in that small of a box. 1.5 cft suggests to me run a 10 l7 (at most a 12) smallest box i would even attempt to put the 15 in is 4 cft. you didnt say what model of 15s the mtx were so for all i know they could be the 4500 series and if done in 2 cft that would explin everything and if it were 2 cft each then one would have to ask wtf was the l7 doing in that small of a box when he could have put it in a larger box?

ps i dont give a rats *** about how much anythng costs

I wasnt defending you dude lmao...read that over again, I made the statement that Audiobahn is a recognisible name in car audio and thats it never said they were anygood. Ive heard 2 audiobahn 12's not sure of the model sitting on the trunk cover in a dudes car...lousy install and the bass was so muddy...also another in a dodge ram mounted underneath the seat...another 2 12" setup...i never listened good but at high volumes the sub would peak and start to break up...i dont think i heard one bass note lol.....but yea Audiobahn is pretty lame so dont thank me...hate me...mtx and focal over audiobahn everyday of the week.

we understand your defense and perhaps in the certain situation from your own perspective the bahns were better. But u are in fact an ignorant sack of $hit. If you would stop, and listen, you'll learn and see that audiolife is definately not coming down on you becuz of what brand you run, but in fact the sloppiness of your comparison...

p.s. Before you run your mouth again, yes i do own a couple of audiobahn 10s, so dont bother spazzin out at me. I personally dont mind them, however, I have found bahns to be very picky about their enclosures.

is my cheap setup making you realize your wasting money and will still not sound this good, no really guys, i do value the input and the time several of you took to explain some of the reasons my buddies subs didnt sound do goo,. i actuallly do value your opinions and often ask for advice, just playin devils advocate and standing up for audiobahn.

wtf does this mean? a 2x6? lol ok all joking aside why may i ask do you have so many source points (speakers)? to use your own train of thinking (do more with less money) use a better location for your speakers and get a more powerful 2 channel so you wouldnt need the 6 channel amp.

551x front stage of 2 channels at 2 ohms, back stage 2 channels at 4ohms, sorry 4x6's boy you guys are critical, worst than my wife..........more sorce points= available space sound coming more directly to listener, door speaker located low in doors...............

no doubt it would be louder that would be 8 12s vs my 15, but i would still take mine anyday because my 1st setup which im ashamed about was 2 audiobahns in a bandpass, sound like total crap untill i heard my old SX, which sounded 2 or 3 times better and i dont even need to bring the XXX up,

and dosent matter what kind of HU your friend has, he prolly has loudness and all that other crap on so even if it is expensive, if you cant use it it's no point in having it.

but dosent matter what we think, its yours, pre fab bandpass sucks, 1.5 sealed for a 15 L7 sucks, etc... your whole comparison sucked, no offense but if 2 bahns in a bandpass box has SQ for you then go with it save some money and be happy

factory door locations arent very direct at all and the path lengths are all screwwy from the dash and the doors.
