AUDIOBAHN or KICKER?!

Wuts up everyone...I know when you see audiobahn or kicker your probably thinking KICKER YOU DUMBASS.... But i'm trying to decide between Audiobahns awt12x sub, or kickers 15L7 solo baric, I want either 4 of the audiobahns, or 3 of the kickers, I have never actually heard the awt12x, only see it on EbAy, and **** it looks like a good sub(if you havnt heard of it check it out!), which is why I am asking if anyone knows which sub they think would be better. Give me ur opinion!

I know this is strange coming from me but i would prefer the Kicker 15L7. Ive done installs with the AWT's, they were the 12"s. But i luv the Kicker 15L7 SoloBarics for some reason.

3 of those 15's would displace way more air than 4 of those 12's, and besides that fact, kicker makes the better product.

I have to say get the Kicker's. With that many in a single setup, you will go deaf in a few minutes with enough power. The 4 12's might equal 2 of the Kicker 15's. But remember to make them sound good they need a rather larg box.

Do you realize all that would go into getting 3 of those 15's or 4 of those 12's? With the cost of subs, amps, wiring, box, alternator, extra batterys etc....your gonna be looking at anywhere between $2500-4000 depending on the deals and install you get. And do you realize how loud that will be and do you have the space? If you do go for it, personally I wouldnt recomned the L7 or audiobahn if you want any sound quality, but it seems like your looking for SPL so go for it

Thanx yea I thought kicker would be better also, I am going to build the box custom into my trunk, and there will be plenty of room for a big box in my 93 Grand Marquise. And yes I am very aware of the cost, and I will get the system for much cheaper then that. I am not going to use any extra batteries, I will just buy a nice battery for it and the 100a alternator will be plenty, if not ill just upgrade to a 120, i've seen bigger system then this one run of a 100a alternator though.

Ummmm....yeah, your gonna need around 2400-3000 watts to power those things, so if you plan on being able to paly them for more than two minutes at a time your gonna need an extra battery and at least a 200 amp alt. What kinda amplifier are you getting to? or how many for that matter

And also, if you really want those kickers to shine or have decent SQ they need at least 5+ cubic feet sealed and the same for ported or even larger....are you sure you have that much room in your trunk? 15+ cubic feet is pretty **** big

sup, i've already measured it out and the dimensions of the box are going to be right around (53"-L 23"-W 16"-H) give or take some space on the design, I want it to look very flush. There is a dip in the bottom of my trunk I am going to use to stack 3 amps, probably 3 power acoustic 1600w amps, thats what's in my budget now but I may get the kicker amps if possible. As for the power, I have a buddy with a 1997 mazda 626 running 7 infinity 8's with 5000w's of total power (including tweeters/mids) all off the factory alt. and even if the power comes to be a problem, I can have a 200 amp alternator made for my car for 200$...and batteries arn't that expensive, so im not concerned with it. Passed all that, how do you think it will sound in my grand marquise? Thanks for the replies!
