Audio Cuts in and out on AM/FM Ideas?

I just bought a new Pyle PLDN74BTI. I installed it in my 2004 Chevy Suburban. Everything works great until I try to listen to the Radio (Am/FM). When I switch over to that the audio randomly cuts in and out. It will stop doing this if I access the settings menu, but as soon as it times out and goes back to the radio it begins again. There is no pattern to it, it is very much random, but never lasts more than 10 seconds at a time before cutting out again. The display doesn't change, I just lose all audio. Again, it does not do this on any other feature other than the standard radio option. This is very frustrating. I know this is not a high end head unit, but it should still operate as designed. I am curious if anyone has any suggestions that do not include it being a defective head unit. Thanks for your time.
