How do you manage to cut a full 4x8 sheet of mdf on these small portable tables(assuming thats what the majority has) ??

I have a full size table saw but I still use a helper and/or feed rollers when working with large pieces. Rollers are $20 each at Lowes or HD. I have 2 and could use 1 more.

We took a small 10" Craftsman table saw and built a table on wheels around it.

my buddy and i modified his table make it measure longer and then we use a tape measure to get it all right.

I'm getting lazy and buying the 2x4 instead of 4x8

I'll spend the extra $ for the ease of cutting.

Agreed. Rip it with a skil saw first, then run it through the table saw to get a good straight edge. Much easier to handle.

I like to cut it down to smaller pieces with either a panel saw or circular saw.

It is possible to cut full sheets if you build a good table and use a helper, but it is still quite cumbersome.

I clamp a fence to the material and use a skilsaw for everything. My cuts are every bit as good as I get on my table saw and it's a lot easier to manage. Just built two boxes this week with my 6 1/2" 18 volt cordless saw...

Make sure whatever you use for a fence is straight and keep the saw tight to the fence.

home depot cuts for free FTW...then just make sure they are all even with the table saw when you get home.

Straight edge and circular saw for rough dimensions, then cut with table saw to exact size.
