If one more person says DD is the same as Soundquebed you will get Force Choked.

Stop blindly repeating stuff and look for your **** self. You won't find two thing the same. Weights will be different, soft parts are different(cone is a easy one), mounting depths are different. They share baskets.. OK how many brands use the 12 spoke, it TI? For something to be the same for less it has to start with being the same.

That has nothing to do with the product being the same... And it's still not the same person that owns them is it? Don't feed the Newbs anymore BS. They have enough as it is.
I thought that DD bought AQ and made it SQ... please correct me if I'm wrong. I understand they aren't the same product, but I thought they were now owned by the same company

No, DD is owned by the son, AQ by the dad. They just changed their name to Soundqued...for the **** of it I guess

Father and son. What's your point? SQ gets some passed down DD tech but not until a new model is out.
So new SQ is old DD? Lol. Sounds the same

Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me

Dad owns dd and son owns aq/sq.

They may not share same parts to make cost low, but trade secrets are being shared between them as a marketing ploy to take the low end and high end of the audio market.

Whether they are two different entities it makes no difference as no one will part from a growing company to make a new one.

They only part if the company is going down hill and someone decides to use the good out of a bad company to move ahead.

It would make more sense that the dad owned DD
