This wouldn't be the first time a company knocked off it's own product off in Asia for a higher market share and better margins, it is managed much better now than in the beginning, the higher end AQ models in the beginning were built with Chinese motors and coils at the Renosance Inc. build house (dba Digital Designs) but were very close in design and performance, the amplifiers were and still are very close in performance
About as far as I am going to go with this , but I will say DD lost several long time quality dealers around the same time (1-2 years after the fact) as AQ's creation
If you want to hug on DD's nuts it's all good man, if you want to snuggle up to SQ's balls' I'm sure that's fine too
