looks like it comes with x86 so 3gb isnt gonna help unless you uprde to a 64bit OS

thats 2 1gb sticks so he will be at the same place as if he buys just one 1gb stick

and x86 will only recognize 2.5gb even if he adds a 2gb stick unless he switches over to x64

It'll recognize up to 4gig, but there is a big block of that that isn't able to be used (don't remember what size restriction) so in reality you only can use 3gigs out of your 4gig total.

Yeah, I think I'll just go with the single stick of kingston. I'm not motivated enough to buy sell a two pack.
