I've gone through quite a few boxes with this sub, and surprisingly it IS loudest with the 27hz box with the smaller port to PB. I get 2-5 dollar mdf, lot's of trial and error.

I only burped a 146 with my 39hz box peaking of course at 40hz. the 34hz box only did 146.7 at 35hz. and this, the 27hz box is much smaller. It seems to allow a lot of air back into the cab because even with the smaller port the air movement is crazy. It also could be thefact that this sub is designed to take lower frequencies much more givingly with the 4" peaktopeak. Lots of play and little to no clipping on lows out of the setup.

no pics of the build. i just just put it all together inside the car and had the use the spare tire well to have the height for the 18. i think the biggest i got was around 6.5 plus about 90" of port

yeah no problem i had to wedge kick wedge kick and wedge kick my box in this things is huge.i cant wait to make a smaller box.another question why did you face cabin just curious everyone on here usually would have done sub up port forward or port rear sub up

That's the only way I could get that much space out of the trunk, and I don't think it would have been as loud any other way. My trunk would have rattled like crazy but with it forward I didn't get any trunk rattle, just from the roof after a weld broke up there.
