I figured since my emails dont make it to you ill post this here. i tested the amp again today and it really did not do anything different. the most i got out of it was 14v AC. i had 14.5 - 15.5 going in. 1/0 wire right from the Alternator to a secondary battery, then 1/0 to the power inputs on the amp. car has a 145a alternator and voltage did not drop more than a tenth of a volt. i set my meter ( the fluke) to read peak AC voltage and the highest it got was 14.0 . the small red craftsman meter is the input voltage.

ive owned quite a few amps, this is my third sundown and ive never had this problem. anything you can think of im doing wrong?

You can clearly see the ground wire in the first pic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
grounded right to the alt case. my battery would not rest at 14.6 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

So you guys worked something out?Nice.
meh, its under warranty, so its being sent back to check out. kinda bummed i have to pay shipping back because thats just adding to the total cost of the amp.im only about $40 away from a new one at last months sell price.

but whatever, i might just be doing something wrong and the amps fine... doubt that though
