ATTN: Computer people

You could build something comparable for a good deal less. Its not a bad computer, but its not going to offer you any real gaming performance or anything. For $1200 you could spend it on much better hardware that would completely blow that sony out of the water.

I know I can do better but if I get approved for enough I can get no interest financing through 2007 which is something to consider //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Its alright, but you can seriously do much better for the price. If you plan on doing any gaming, forget it with that Sony and its onboard graphics... Plus the soundcard will blow, the ram will be cheap slow crap... and pretty much every individual component will be crappier than the next.

Is it possible to get a good deal on a computer already built with a good processor, dual layer dvd burner, ~200gb hd, etc?
Well, yeah. Check ebay, they always have some killer deals on pre-built computers. What I did was, I bought a "barebone" that came with a nice case, a nice motherboard, and a processor already installed. The rest is easy to install and you can get really good results depending on what you choose to put in there.

Its possible
And at CC, unless you work there, you AINT gonna get a discount of any sort, unless it's open box, They're Pricks.
IIRC he works there

im going to bed, but maybe in the morning ill see if i can throw together something on newegg that you could build yourself.

its not tuff i suggest u by the parts and have somone else build it for you. that way you can get one nice *** comp that wont go out of date soon. there are plenty of places that will build em, and i dont think its to tuf to build one(ill find out next week when my parts arrive)but its costing around 1100 dollars for a computer that would retail around 1800-2200

Well as far as building I think if I can't handle it, either my mother (comp tech.), or one of my co-workers would be able to help. It's just that I really don't have any free time...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
