Shall we consider a few facts?
First of all, the MASS 2000 series has been verified (for over 2 YEARS) at over 25 mm Xmag / Xmax. This is far more then the original proto was tested at (19.1 mm). Any one who has missed that fact (for the past couple of years is clearly not paying attention).
Second, the report on the EVO-R 12 shows a Xmag (linear excursion envelope) of 25 mm (this is within a 10% production tolerance, which all subs will typically exhibit, not to mention the degree of variance inherent in DUMAX tests).
The Xsus on the driver shows 26 mm travel in the positive direction, however the rearward travel, apparently did not perform in a normal fashion, thus the Xsus and so the XMAX did not meet spec. This is likely due to problem or defect with one of the spiders (there can be problems with individual parts on occassions).
In addition, the new Mobiel Ent review on the EVO-R 15 (which uses the same VC and suspension, was DUMAX tested and validated to have 28 mm of both Xmag (linear travel) and Xsus (linear suspension travel). So we are not concerned about the accuracy of our specs (that's why we have them independently tested and verified).
And compared to the recent test on the JL 12 W7, even though the EVO-R was tested in a mere 1.5' box, it still SMASHED the SPL records for Mobile Ent (set by the W7), by 1.5 - 3 dB (both in low-distortion w/ test tones) and in peak SPL output.
So it is clear that this feat could not be accomplished without a linear excursion capability (XMAX) comparable to that of the JL 12W7 (around 26 mm).
Now while some will continue to argue with the facts and data (which says a ton about them), the facts remain that same car/amp "real-world" testing is the definitive way to measure what a given product can do.
And given a ruler flat (1.8 dB) in-car frequency response (better then the W7 or the ID MAX), and record-shattering SPL (with low-distortion), in a 1.5' sealed box (more typical for a 12" sub vs. a 15"), not to mention the rave comments from one of the worlds low-frequency (both for Home and car) authorities (Tom Nousaine), once again proves that Audiomobile products are deliver 'World-Class' performance and value...
This now makes for a rather remarkable 3-years and a "Three-peat" for Audiomobile products (in Mobile Entertainment).
2000 MASS 2012 -- 'the BEST' 12-inch sub ever tested
2001 EVO 2210 -- 'the BEST' 10-inch sub ever tested
2002 EVO-R 2315 -- 'The BEST' 15" sub (and loudest by a wide margin) ever tested (despite costing less then HALF the 12 W7).
Three series, three different size units and three stellar reviews (not to mention the other rave reviews on the MASS and EVO-R in CAE).
Obviously this unprecedented portfolio of reviews makes our case pretty compelling, and we are content to let the expert reviewers make our case to the marketplace...
And no amount of talking trash, by a handful of individuals) about our company, products or my efforts to defend our company and products (in the face of repeated bogus and inane accusations directed at us) will change the fact that the performance of our products clearly speak for themselves, but they cannot defend themselves against unprovoked attacks...
