if the leads actually burned then youll need a reconeI've got a e8 with sewn leads one of them has broken off the cone is this a easy fix or does it require a recone.
The rl-i 8 that I reconed has e8 softparts in it. The coil is much shorter than the original so I would not throw 500 at it.Well since we are on the topic and woofercooker is the on thread and I don't have to message him to bother him //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
Should I be worried with my "Soundsplinter RL-e8" (the RL-i you reconed with e8 softparts)
So much for 500RMS at .6ft^3 at 32hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
I have seen this on a few of the woofers. This is a case where as Jacob said the spider was stretched to a point where the mechanical limit was reached and the lead tore.i guess it burned i dunno i juts kno its broke away from teh cone dang that suxx
Nope. The single spider comes with the leads sewn on -- would have to cut them off of one to stack them. Qts would get quite high with double spiders on the E8.has anybody tried doubling the spiders up on a e8?
Ahhh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif. What would you recommend at most? The rl-i 8 that I reconed has e8 softparts in it. The coil is much shorter than the original so I would not throw 500 at it.
Yeah that is what I was referring to.The new SA-8, if that is what you mean, will be out next month at some point... parts will probably work in the RL-I if it is a 2" coil.
Sounds great. If it blows I might just buy an SA-8.I think the sa-8 recones would be a perfect size for the rl-i8's.
for most subs, if you buy a recone from me the labor is included at no extra charge. If you have a recone and just need the labor done then it will depend on the type of sub. Pm me for details.Sounds great. If it blows I might just buy an SA-8.
What would you charge to recone it? Just labor not the actual recone.(Unless you already know price of a recone?)
