Attention Kicker guru's!!! KX line help!

Does anyone know if the Kicker KX1200.1s are strappable @ 1 ohm? Do they need to be modded? Are they current Hogs? I have a MA Audio HK602sx right now and its ******* the LIFE out of my truck. lol. Would this be an upgrade, if possible?

the kx1200.1 is rated at 1 ohm not 2 At .5 I have heard of people doing this. My kx1200.1 has been run at 1 ohm for several years

ya i think the kx can run at 1 ohm, but i dunno about .5.... The new zx cant run under 2 though from what i understand, this is all from just talking with other people about it..

Agreed. But I think he wants to run a strapped pair daily at 1 ohm. If he wants to run each one at 1 ohm for a strapped load of 2 ohm, that would be optimal. But 0.5 ohm for those amps daily would be pushing it IMO.

Back when these were just a couple years old a few team kicker members were running them at .5 Im not sure I would push it personally just saying some have successfully

It means that you can link another identical amp to eachother and get (x) watts at (x) ohms

If the amp is 1 ohm stable and you strap two together you get (x) watts at 2 ohms

A KX 1200.1 will run at .25 ohm for burps. I've been running my KX1200.1s at 1ohm Strapped for about a year now, as long as you have the charging they'll be fine and they don't even get hot.
