Attention grillers! What would you recommend?

Yeah, did you have any trouble putting it together? A lot of the reviewers are saying the directions sucked! Saying it took 2-3 hours to put together. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
I am patient for most part, just when you are cooking for 5 somtimes it wears thin, lol!
i have never put a grill together,The store will do it for you

You can buy a small smoker. They look like a big cylinder. Theyre small enough to use at an apartment though. Theyre usually smaller than a cheap charcoal grill.

Or... you can even smoke on the small square charcoal grills if you do it right. Mine isnt built as a smoker either. It does work wonderfully as a smoker if you set it up correctly though. I can burn it at a perfect 250 degress for 6-8 hours with very a minimal amount of attention needing to be paid to it.

Get a small, round charcoal grill for when you're home alone and looking to cook some great tasting food. They're not expensive. The charcoal and lighter fluid add up quick though depending on how often you use it.

Get a decent costing gas/propane grill for fast heating/fast cooking/constant heat for larger groups and/or gatherings.

Btw, if you've never tried a pizza off the grill, do. Take a pizza heating stone, set it on the second rack of a gas/propane grill or in the middle of a charcoal grill (lower the charcoals) and let that thing cook long and slow. They taste amazing if you watch them as so they don't burn.

Charcoal>Gas

/story

I have a big *** Wally special my parents got me and a medium size Weber and they both work great... I like to grill at least once a week. Deer burgers taste soooooo good.

Thanks for the opinions guys. I am gonna go charcoal and have one picked out for a decent price.
But I did not get to voice my opinion yet . . . charcoal.

BTW, I cheat. I use one of those cylenders and place it, filled with charcoal, on a gas burner. A few minutes later I toss the charcoal on into the grill. Quick and easy.

well, i had a charbroil(sp), and it was gas or charcoal, u just switch out the inside bottoms, but in all honestly, if u dont' wanna constantly mess with the hassle of charcoal and all that junk, get a gas grill and then add the flavored wood ships or put charcoal between the flame and the grill.

i use a gas grill, just gave my old one which was the gas/charcoal one to my mom.

Forgot about this thread, lol!

Ended up buying the good ole trusty charcoal Weber. The 22 1/2" one. Cooked out twice on it so far and nothing like some good ole cooking out!

Steaks the first night I got it, which came out perfect and Burgers the next night.

I plan on using it a lot during the week. Well till the point that it gets too expensive, lol!

Buy a gas grill and use a wood chip box. We been usen this set up for years and love it. It's fast and the food taste great, you can also change back and forth to a lot of different flavored wood chips to change the flavor. we grill up about 3 days a week when the weather starts getten nice and charcoal was a pain in the *** between the time consumption and the clean up. The only time we use charcoal is when we're haven a big cookout in the pit or roasten a pig on the spit, and then we get the big brick charcoal. Their as big as the real red bricks on the side of a house.

I'd get a nice gas grill, 2 tanks full of propane ,so you always have a spare in case you run out and a wood chip box IMO. here's a link to a box, think they sellem at home depot, walmart, and a lot of other places. http://www.gasgrillsnow.com/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=1718&idproduct=4803
