I built the last 6 boxes for my car. I can build MDF slot port boxes all day. I just wanted a final nice box from birch, recessed mounting, a nice stain and carpet with aeroports. Didn't feel like doing all that myself. As far as I've seen on this forum, the only thing the other builders can do is slot port MDF boxes and they don't cover them. Otherwise I would have bought from them.

You must have missed my "Carpeting Tutorial" thread I made. It shows how I build AND carpet my boxes. Ends up with only one seam on the whole box, it happens to be on the bottom. also building a box out of birch is no different than mdf, also tounge and grove jointery isnt that bad either... just have to have a router table.... areoports again not that bad ( ppl just cant make them and the ones tcab had were far from perfect)

IMO I think this is the problem.

Many people have sent in payments since Feb, March, ect... I wouldnt be surprised to hear about some even earlier. Im not trying to insult the guy, but he sure as hell needs to rethink his business plan.

Seems like he bit off WAAAAY more then he could chew & is now up to his neck in orders that he cant catch upto. Only logical explination I could think of.

As for some people not building their own boxes, its not that most dont. The time is one aspect, the other is most dont have the tools sitting around.
