...is a *****, still not quite done but here are some photos for anyone who is interested.(Sorry my iPhone takes shit pictures)

First I had to take a dremel and cut this bar thats back behind where the stock head unit was, I have no idea why its there, I hope I dont need it.

Then I got tired of ****ing with that part and used the dremel to cut a large hole where the stockhead unit face was, and use body filler + plastic weld to bond the trim ring for the head unit into the bezel of my dash

Here is what it looks like now, There are quite a few imperfections where I guess I need to re-sand, skim coat of body filler, then sand again. This was my first time doing anything remotely like this and the body filler set extremely fast, it seemed like less than minute before it became rubbery.

Ill update tomorrow when I redo the part around the face of the head unit and when I actually get the unit fully installed, hopefully I will be able to get better quality pictures in the day time.

I guess i shouldve took before and after pics, the 01 tahoes, suburbans, yukons, etc. were only made for 1.5 din, so not only is the double din too tall, its too skinny, and its too deep. I had to cut out quite a bit of the dash to make it fit, it looks snug because i molded the trim ring into the dash.
