Mmfcl again to ya. I have the 2.0 transmission vented truck box, The Type r's recomend 1.5 but I want more spl than any. I was debating on the

1.5 center vented shared

1.7 center vented devided

2.0 transmission vented

What box/sub did you here

No other opinions??? Should I have got the 1.7 divided insted of the big 2.0? Does it mater if the ports/chambers are divided?

Pre-fabs always wrap maybe 2 inches into the port and the one I had it caused a little turbulence. It looks like this one has that.

is that the one they say is for diamond audio? did they tell you what it was tuned for or no? lemme know how it sounds for when i have to pick one up.

I agree Atrend Boxes are sick, best pre-fabs around. That enclosure is an Atrend TDXT enclosure and it is specific for diamond audio subs. If its the 12TDXD then I believe it tuned to 38 Hz and if its the 10TDXD its tuned to 44 Hz. However i'm not sure if thats the best enclosure for your Type R sub. It really depends on what gen Type R you have because I know that the new 4th gen Type R is shallower and only has about a 5-6 mounting depth and requires less cu. ft. I have had the opportunity to hear a single Type R sub in an Atrend 10LSV and it pounded. Not only did it shake the ground the sub didn't skip a beat, it picked up every frequency.

It does, I'll trim it though. The carpet isn't glued down that well thats for sure. I noticed the port was coming unglued and if you look really close the left driver hole's crpet is pealed,. Dosn't mater though since the sub's will pinch that. Then again it was sitting in my garage for 3 days were it was in the mid to upper 90's with like 65-80% humidity. I can just see the carpet flapping and fraying at the port though if I left it like it is.

I would too... Not!!! It would cost way more to build my own and 3 times as much to have a custom built on from any of the local shops around my area. I can build a sealed box, thats a cake walk. To make a transmission vented box with 1" mdf and completely carpeted w/ terminal cups for less than a 100 dollars not to mention the time and clean up.... Uuuuughh I would rather buy a quality pre fab.... I'm just not that dedicated to my system. I like to compare efficiancy and cost w/ everything. I'm just a lazy tightwad I guess

heres my other alternative, I bought it at a pawn shop like 3yrs ago for $75... I know my new box will blow this POS out of the water and to the moon.

Yes I know my ground cable is too long and yes my deck speakers are just sitting there, and my subs are missing two screws, and there a CD in my trunk and that sony is over rated crap and the box is a POS... thing i like is when people say "i can make my own for 50 bux". ok 50 for materials and how long for the labor to build it yourself? why is their own personal time not worth any money? these people are cheap i'll hire them if they're free labor to do everything for me. hey *****es custom make my box.
