that was a comment on as far as how it looks, and even then they are minute differences. I'd say go with the Sundown since i have indeed heard horror stories when it comes to dealing with Atomic

well it might be different prices at different places and all but i called atomic today and asked how much for a new 3000.1 and he said 3900 but i admit its kinda unrealistic...but thats what he said unless he made a mistake and that seems unlikely!!

True, when I talked to George he quoted me the same price as the Sundown.

I'm sure you guys are thinking that I'm supporting the sundown b/c of my connection with them, but I hope that if you do go with the atomic you never have issues b/c george will not warrantee stuff.

Heres a tidbit of info on them, when your trying to get a recone for a SJA ( atomic's buildhouse ) built subwoofer you have about a 1/2 chance of getting the recone and a 1/4 chance of it working properly when you get it. When I had AP/SPL 10s i had them shipped to them to get them reconed because i didnt think i would get the right thing, and even then the price they quoted me to repair them didnt match the number on the card because they over inflated shipping cost 200%

I truely think when your getting subs from them that they just use whatever they have laying around that will work...

well im not saying atomic is better then sundown or nothing like it infact ild rather have a sundown but for the price i got the atomic for i couldnt turn it down ...im just trying to find out if since they are so much alike that i can kinda use the 3000d power output specs in regards to the 3000.1 lol i cant find such detailed output specs for the atomic amps as the sundown

I highly doubt they will do the same power. They may, as I said earlier i havent seen the atomic up close, but I highly doubt it. There was another company who was trying to use my personal test results for the 1500ds for there 1500d model, but somehow they werent getting the same power.... so you take the chance.

the subs were awesome when i had them, the ap/spls took 2kw each with 2.5" coils... also were a db up on my dd 9510s. I did blow them and instead of going through the hassel of reconing them again i just sold the motors and moved on

yes thet got specs lol but i was looking for real world detailed specs at all ohm loads and voltages like sundownz has on his website in the forums section thanks tho
