Atkins sux

theres plenty, go to a library and read a book on it. sure, exercise will help with any diet. but atkins does not REQUIRE exercise to lose weight
print

That would be the back cover of the Atkins book, written by Dr. Atkins... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i need a diet that doesnt rely on a shedule, cause my schedule is so messed up and weird. thats another reason i chose atkins. cause it doesnt matter when you as long as you dont eat carbs

Listen man, it sounds like you need to get your life in order. Once you are at a point in your life where you have some time, then exercise to lose some weight. For now, the Atkins diet will only benifit you, if done properly. You might not visually see results, but you should begin to feel healthier.

Okay, HERE is something from the actual Atkins book...

thats still not the atkins diet. read the cover. it says DR. Atkin's age-defying diet. its a different diet. anyways, i hope to be able to exercise soon, but for now, i cant. i just want to know if im doing something wrong with this diet.

people always talk about the Freshmen15 or whatever, i think i've lost weight since i've been here, while i may be eating worse, i walk a couple miles a day just to classes and stuff as opposed to over the summer when i ate better but did absolutely nothing

you NEED to exercise

STFU and stop acting like your the diet god. there are ways to lose weight WITHOUT exercise. myy mom did it.
by trying to kill herself?

i do get some exercise. dont laugh, but im a delivery driver. so all that walking from the car to the door and vise versa adds up. and i have to walk like a mile to class 3 days a week. so i do get some exercise

STFU *******

I think people like to tweak you because...well...you're easily tweaked. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I doubt you'll see results with your current plan.

did the atkins thing..

lost 55lbs..was on the diet for the last 2 yrs, though im not really on it now i just watch my carb and calorie intake.

lost 7 the first week and continued on that route for some time(though less per week)

i've kept the wait off till present time..

a breakdown:

started i was 280lbs, within the yr i got to 235-240..lowest was 223lbs

turned 21 and gained roughly 5-10lbs from drinken...that sucked..

stopped smokin....+5-10lbs

i now workout 5 days a wk for around 45-1hr...i've beenable to keep off the weight (and lose) and still sorta eat like a human should.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you have to have the right mindset to accomplish any diet..though it takes time..i'm just now getting to the point were i no im not gunna eat if im not hungery..it takes time is all

yes i've been drinken...that is the reasoning behind the horrible sentence structure.

fatryan: from the looks of it you not fat...some of us are just naturally big ( myself: 230 6'3" ) you look simular in stature...all i can say is learn to eat healthier and dont eat if you aint got nothin better to do...take the stairs whenever possibe, ect

another option which is what many dr's recomend for people that need to lose weight very quickly for like open heart surgery or other types of surgery is the grapefruit diet.....now it is a short term diet only....not a long term type of diet......i might suggest trying it and seeing if it might work....my dad went on it and it worked....it was just hard for him to stick with it.....its very similar to the atkins tho.....and as w/ any diet....excercise will always help....the more the better....but just a little bit every day wouldnt hurt anything.....
