at what air space difference, can u hear a difference

alright, im lookin at glassin my type r's in the trunk. my problem is, car trunks tend to be mis-shaped in the fact the two sides are not equal. why...i dont know. but when i glass them, i want to look symetrical. they dont look to be VERY different, but at what difference, do the subs sound and perform different.

Look at the 2 sides, measure what the smallest one would be when you make them symetrical. Make sure that one will be enough airspace for the sub.

Then the other side that has more room can be made to look like the first side, but then you can just add to the inside to bring it down in airspace to equal the smaller side.

They look symetrical and have the same airspace now.
