Assistance with box logo

I am helping a friend build a new box for his truck next saturday. Everything is all set except one small thing. He wants to put a logo on top of the box next to the amp. We are testing Flexstone spray on the box instead of carpet and are really happy with the results.

What could we use to make this logo?? We are thinking of doing a raised logo and it would be painted over so the material isnt a huge deal. We were thinking of either a 3/8 or 1/2 inch piece of wood or some sort of foam. We got the foam idea from custom interiors but are unsure of type of foam to use. The only problem we thought of with the foam is that we would like the material to be somewhat stiff. The other idea was using a router to etch it into the top of the box at a 1/8inch depth but we are not too fond of that plus it would me buying bits for my dads router and learning to use it.

The logo we are using is the DD logo since he has 3 - 8's

Any help or ideas would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

It seems that way. I am pioneering the way to putting a logo on a box!!!!!

i like the router idea.

you could make it out fiberglass and/or bondo to have it raised and paint it or cover it.
