I hate when i come in on the middle of a build....id rather it be all over and i just look at pics.....but, looking very nice

Today's progress, took the 1x2" 1/8" mechanical tubing and made 5 main hoops for the enclosure...needless to say i'm tired as hell and my face is burned from the flash of the welder..here's a few pics, more progress tomorrow. The two shorter hoops in the middle will be up with the other ones, they are cut shorter to clear the wheel wells..

You don't understand...

I don't have a chop saw, so all of the angles have to be cut with a porta-band and you cant get angles right with a porta band by a long shot...so you have gaps

When you try to fill gaps up with a mig it will spit and spudder and blow holes through all of it..causing to have to grind all of it off and start over again and try to build it up.

If i had a chop saw i'd have perfect angles and about a hours worth of welding, instead...i've got perfect angles, with some love from alot of welding wire lol.

Dag yo, we picked up our chop saw from craigslist for $20... love it.

It's a cheap Chicago Electric one from Harbor Freight... get one!
