Are you familiar with sundown x18? Well

OK dad I will Google it but really pops I already know most amps don't give correct wattage as described, even if it's off by just 10 watts. But that pic I provided is what the 1500 audiopipe amp did on a dyno

You have no idea that there's a difference between resistive and nominal impedance
Well I didn't come here to get schooled. I just simply needed to know if 2 of the amps I mention would possible damage my sub man. You are the type of guy that hop on everybody's threads acting like you know everything but have nothing in your trunk. And by the way, if you knew so much about car audio you'd know that imp rise really don't matter here.

okay since it sounds like you might or might not google it. I'll give you a clue on what you are dealing with. This is not about us talking sh*t on audiopipe, every amp will face this challenge.

You wire to 1 ohm, you are not gonna get 1 ohm. You'll be somewhere around 2 ohms inside your box. Meaning you will only see 2 ohm power out of your amp. This is the reason why people claim they can run 3000 watts to a 1500 watt sub. Its not because of the sub being "amazing" its basically impedance rising at different frequecies when the subwoofer is inside the box.

Once you understand this, you'll find out the answer to your question. Knowledge leads to answers.

aka box rise.

It happens and can't be stopped.

Orly?

OP, we're really not being *****. You seem to refuse that these things apply, when they clearly do. Audiopipe is also a less than reputable brand when it comes out to putting real numbers. Look at actual videos (Taylor Fade for example). However, this is irrelevant... Box rise is a real thing and applies in all situations when discussing amp power to a sub.

My rule of thumb is that if you have to come on here and ask you probably have no business trying to run your equipment outside of what the manufacturer recommends.

Now if you can afford to eat a 200$ recone when you break the sub, buy the second amp and give it a whirl. It'll be a learning experience for you.

That's the thing I know what rise is. I know what a school bus is too. My point is that's irrelevant. My point of making the post was to see of there were any other sundown x 18 users past or present that have put 3k daily into it. That's it and that's all. I didn't come to here ask how good or bad my amp was I know exactly what I have trust me.
