Are these speakers worth it?

I figured in your sub amp, its part of that 17.5A average draw, lol. Music is dynamic so is ever changing...so does the amperage draw to your amps. A constant 50A draw would be only happen if you are doing spl comps and/or playing a full strength test tone at one frequency. You'll be fine with the stock battery, in your situation a1 farad cap should help.....or not depending on your views of capacitors.
ive been told to stay away from caps.

so you think even at full blast ill be fine?

what about replacing the alternator?

The 17.5A average draw is at full blast(playing music not test tones), I know it doesn't seem right but it is. I suggest you get your electronics installed first, have your gains properly set then see if it looks like you'll need anything else. No reason to waste money on something that's not needed.

Take this advice. After you install it you'll know if you need more power. It wont damage your car and you probably wont need more power. I would do the big 3 if you haven't already. Easy to do and will do nothing but good.

you can always get a battery for the price of a cap and the battery will better....at full blast you will be fine you do not have to replace the altenator for like 800 watts lol

oh and thanks for the sig thank i try to help ha but sometimes i can be an *******

I started off with the KS's, they sounded good, but lacked in midbass and the tweeters were a little too metallic for my tastes.

Now I run a set of RS's, and they sound great compared to the KS's. A lot more midbass, and the tweeters are much more clear and smooth.

I would take the RS's over the KS's anyday.

prod, im getting a totally different setup.
Guys, I am about to press the card confirmation button, but before I do, I want to know that I have EVERYTHING I need.

2 rolls of RAAMMat

Anything else?? How about an EQ or something?
You don't need an eq. Is your installer going to supply the dash kit, wiring harness, distro block if you don't have one, RCAs and other wiring?

If you want an Ipod adaptor you need it ahead of time so they can hook it up to the back of the head unit.

Yes i am pretty sure.

The HU im getting attaches to the ipod through the USB. Im not interested in controlling the Ipod from the dash itself

where can i find a cheap adapter??

It has an aux input. Probably just need a RCA to headphone jack cable. Depends on what kind of connection that aux input. Whatever it is, you can just connect your IPod to that.

And seriously, the big 3 is very easy to do. You don't need to know anything about engines to do it.
