Are these speakers worth it?

And btw, thanks to the rest of you for giving advice as well!
I appreciate the gesture, but the sig's kinda misleading since we've never done business. Plenty of guys are willing to help as long as you're willing to put up with the smartasses, which most of us are including me. If you have anymore questions let us know. Good luck.

p.s. nice avatar.

Lol, no problem. Glad to help out. I would much rather take the time to help you pick the right stuff than to have another "Why does my system ****" thread in two weeks. You wouldn't believe how many people go out and buy the first thing they see and come on here wondering why it doesn't live up to expectations.

Wow... I almost bought my system from Best Buy about a week ago. Thank GOD I didn't... haha

I knew from experience that you should always get advice before jumping in.

Never buy from a retail store when you can get it online for 40% cheaper.

btw i found out the HU I'm ordering is a factory refurb.

should I worry about that?

A lot of people have good luck with refurbs, and it should at least come with a 90 day warranty. I would call up wherever you're buying from and see if there is an extended warranty available though.

I have a 2 sub with an amp that draws about 50 amps as well.

I want to just be sure my battery will last and getting one of the yellow tops will last me.

My car only has an 83 amp alternator...

I'm gonna need air and heat, along with lights ect.

I figured in your sub amp, its part of that 17.5A average draw, lol. Music is dynamic so is ever changing...so does the amperage draw to your amps. A constant 50A draw would be only happen if you are doing spl comps and/or playing a full strength test tone at one frequency. You'll be fine with the stock battery, in your situation a1 farad cap should help.....or not depending on your views of capacitors.

Your car is just like the amps, it won't use a constant 83amps from your alternator unless it's overloaded with accessories and they are all running at the same time. My last car had a 65A alternator and I was running 800W like you.
