Are there really any better sub's out there for the money Premier SPL

ok now on the other end of things what about 2 15in RE audio MX15D2 how good are these subs, I know there about the best looking ones iv seen, In fact I like most of the RE audio line of sub woofers

Rather run type R's than the MX's, personally.

Type R's are going to HATE YOU sealed, but once they're ported they are ALIVE vs sealed man haha

yeah Ill probably just go ahead and build a ported box for what ever I get.

So ur saying the type R are the way to go then? Iv read alot about people having good luck with them so Ill either get 3 12 r's or 2 15'r I guess... lol

id like to throw a recommendation out there for the SoundStream Tarantula T-5's i used to always get compliments on mine when i had them. and they were louder than my uncles Type R's.

I vouch for 3000's as top P4P woofer. I'd had some and loved them. My friend had 4 in his Expedition on a T10001BD and it got stupid low. He knocked his windows off the tracks with that setup.

Had the R's..........sealed and ported and my 2 10" w-250 spl Premier subs sound better and are louder than my R's ever were and I was running 12's........of course this is to the ear, so on the meter I don't know. I did 144.2 in my cavalier years ago with the R's off 1200rms and running a little more power now, so maybe that is why.......but they sound so more musical.

Also the R's took a huge ported box, to where my Premiers only are in a 1.1 cft box@35 and if I would guess, I am right at 144/145 dbs.

Using the same amp you have by the way.

Yeah I had the cheaper Pioneer Premier TS-W1207D4 in a ported box I think I payed like 50 bucks each for them and they were way better musical sounding than than the kicker solo x I have now... The kicker sounds ok but I guess its just one of those one note wonder sub lol

Audio Que SDC2.5 15" is just a bit more and louder.

i would do the AB xfls pretty nice subs that get loud

Would I be better off let's say to run 4 sealed 12r's or 2 ported 15r's ?
