Are Hifonics amps any good to power my Morel comps?

You should do arc audio or diamond audio amps, I'd stay away from hifonics.

You can use a hifonics on them. It's not like it's going to be a huge audible difference as long as you have the proper power for them.

What's the price range on the amp your looking into?

Arc is going to be a real high dollar amp, but then your morel's are high dollar comps.

Diamond used to be the ish, not sure how they are anymore.

The arc audio ks 300.4 really isn't that high of a priced amp and would be a nice amp for the morels. I'm getting mine for $299. And diamond still makes a quality product, at least amps and subs anyways.

hifonics rates their amps @ 14volts so make sure u know that... nothing wrong with hifonics. i have 2 of them and neither get hot, barely warm ridin fulltilt all the time

Which amps? There is a bigger difference in sound quality between install, speakers, EQ, crossovers than there is amplifiers. If the amp does rated power at low distortion you are fine.

I'd never heard of them before, and was just wondering how they were. I don't plan on cheaping out on the Morel's...hence the question!

Now that I know, I'll look elsewhere.

There is nothing wrong with Hifonics amplifiers at all. Infact If you got something within the XX series it is probably better than most of the amps these guys are recommending you to begin with

yes a hifonics amp is fine, i would prefer to use something from orion or kicker, maybe memphis though. they have some cheaper, yet really nice amps out there under $150 bucks
