Are gauge reducers worth the buy?

well they are for amps so i put in the amp section, i saw bass knobs threads so i just posted here.....

If you need to reduce the wire in size yes, trimming will work but it's a pain the ***.

If the reducers fit the terminal well so that it actually increases surface area of the connection then yes they are worth it. If they dont fit in there all that great then you may actually be decreasing contact area and creating a worse connection. Personally I am a cheap *** and I would rather trim the wire.

If you have the money, than sure... But all it takes is a couple of snips of the wire and you can easily get the wire to fit in the 4 gauge hole.
