I think u missed the part about caps storing "base energy"...dear lord I cant even laugh at that...that was impressively bad..
it wont be louder if you adjust the gains accordinglyShush. Learn about shit before you talk.
While I doubt a dual deck will make subs louder, but HU do have a role.
If I have my gains set with an alpine deck that has 2.5v preouts, then switch to a deck with 5v preouts, technically the subs will be louder.
So **** off n00b. What do you think a line out converter does?
STFUIf your running a cheap over rated amp with stock electrical wiring under the hood, then a cap will not help you.
-First you need a decent amp.
-That amp needs a heavey power cable from the battery.
-That battery needs to be able to deliver the needed current (one or more good audio type deep cycle batteries).
-The wiring under the hood needs to be upgraded to supply this extra current, 4 or 0 gauge Big3 rewire (read the sticky at the top of the Electrical issues forum).
-You need an alternator that can supply all this power and charge this system without voltage dips.
IF you have done all these things, then a capacitor can help to smooth out some small voltage dips, but really shouldn't be needed if you did everything else correctly. If you have not done all of the above, then caps are pointless.
thats why you set yours gain accordingly.... dumbassShush. Learn about shit before you talk.

well the 8db was me being excessive, but thats why your gain comes with knobs, to adjust it accordingly to your volt outi never said sht about 8 db louder, but with all bass and loud settings zerod out or off and sub maxed out i needed less gain using the dual compared to the 60x4 pioneer, but thats from preout voltage. the subs didnt get phyically louder but it seemed to take less effort to get to 59.2v for 700w, even though i think they both have 4v preouts
Did you read this part?STFU
caps are always pointless.
Ive said this time and time again. Only time you use them is for crossovers and inside amps lol.
Caps lead in voltage but lag in current. That means it may show your voltage is dipping less but it is because your amp is getting less juice and making less power. We tested this in real world by removing a cap and gaining in NUMEROUS spl vehicles.
it may even out voltage spikes, but only at the cost of the amps you paid your $$ for.
did you not read my post where i said they areDid you read this part?
