Are Alphasonik amps any good?

Not necessarily.
I know of one a/b amp fused at 2x30A that was professionally benchtested @900w+

That's a definite possibility, but it wasn't on 14v. I'm not guessing, i'm telling you.

And automotive fuses are quick-blow. They will pop almost instantly if current surpasses their ratings.

Look people, there's no magical way to squeeze water from a rock, 30lbs. of shit in a 10lb. bag, nor 64A of electricity through a 60A fuse.

You can tell yourself anything you want, but there is NO way to make 1684 watts rms with a 90A fuse and 14v. No way. No magical way, no non-magical way, no way at all. Not even on 16v with the aforementioned fictional 100% efficiency could you make that power through a 90A fuse.

they will not do rated power, if they do then it'll prolly be distorted and not clean since rms is UNDISTORTED and that's what they use, i'd say their 100 watts overrated from their specs they give the amps.
And dude, almost 4k posts, and no.

They A) will NOT, ever, in no way shape or form do rated power, and B) rms has NOTHING AT ALL to do with distortion

You can measure the SAME signal max. or RMS, it has absolutely nothing to do with being "clean" or "undistorted"

i had a Kenwood 7201 with a 40 amp fuse and it was benched at 800 watts, i guess it should have been a 80 amp fuse atleast, i see how amp makers sell their products, i'll take an underrated amp anyday //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

look people, watts are a product of amperes and supply voltage. It's a mathematical equation.

You cannot HAVE a given product (watts) without sufficient input factors A (amperes) and B (voltage.)

That's like saying you have an engine that makes 1lb/ft of torque, and has 300hp @ 200rpms. It can't magically just do it, hp and wattage alike are not entities of their own creation, they are a mathematical equations to give references of combinations of other factors.

As stated BY THE DICTIONARY:

wattage

n : the product of voltage and current [syn: electrical power, electric power]

Really? Where might I find a credible source verifying that?
Everything I've ever come across says otherwise.
For anyone who's still interested. Here's the chart from bussmann's site --

Automotive Blade-Type Fuses ATC32 Volts DC, 1 to 40 Amps

Looks to me like a 30A automotive fuse should pass about ~80A for a second.

It seems reasonable, that given the dynamics of music 90A worth of amp fuse would have no problems drawing 150A+ on peaks.
