Hell I live in Dallas Texas and if the officer can hear anything coming from the car...whether is music or excessive loud whatever...30 feet away....they will ticket your *** faster than a eskimo can run in a snowstorm...

Sounds like you have the same problem with cops that I do. I never get tickets for doing anything normal.

well technically subwoofers are illegal. beeing that all of them can be heard outside of the car and exceed like the 90 db rating cops go by. at least in my town. but yet my brother got a noice ticket here and he doesnt even have subs? my town is really anal about loud music. the fine here starts at 1,080 dollars and goes as a criminal charge on your record, shits retarted

That has to be the dumbest shit I have ever heard. Funny thing, is alot of other issues that are big in other states are not here.

Plug in H.I.D.s, Tint (to a degree) and Exhaust regulations are often over looked here. I dont know where you got the idea about the sub law but its bullshit plain and simple.

might have something to do with noise pollution or something

or possibly the weight of the sub and the over size that may cause the box to shift if you hit the brakes from say 70mph

but I highly doubt they are going to come looking for someone with subs, just dont be an idiot about playing your subs loud in the city areas
