Um, no. Both designed by Robert Zeff, yes. Does that make them the same amps? No. Even then, I'm not sure that the Kar series was designed by Zeff, I think only the XXK [CXL] series were, though I could be wrong.

But, regardless, I'd go with the Arc. Extremely good amps for the price.

the KAR series amps are designed by Zef as well....just built over seas, as opposed to the xxk/cxl that are built in Cali,USA

i was hanging out at a local tuner shop for like 3 hours. i swear i could have stolen so many xxk's and idmax's lol, but i didn't. they even have a freakin avic-N1 right on the table w/o a box where i was sitting at for all those hours

good stuff.

i took both amps out of an aquaintances old truck, took the body off and had it painted candy apple red to match his new paint job. it looks **** good. i wish i would have taken pics of that install. oh well, many more custom jobs to come, i'm sure i will do it again.
