I have a kenwood kac-929 powering one jl12w6v2(dual 4ohm). i have it bridged. the rating of the amp is 460x1@4ohms. but for some reason i think i have it wired to a 2ohm load. anybody help me out here by telling me if i am okay like this or if i need to change something

youll be fine. if your amp is stable down to 1 ohm, then its 2 ohm stable. Im not sure what your question is really.

First, determine what ohm load your amp is safe at.Then, see what ohm load youre presenting to the amp. Theres a nice wiring tutorial on this forum. If youre giving it too low of an ohm load, fix it, and problem solved.

Ok another question, well statement....i have had it running like this for a while now and have not had any problems, so i guess its ok. Can anybody show me how it should be wired from a bridged 2 channel amp to a dual 4ohm sub(whatever ohm laod that should be)?

With your sub being dual 4 ohm, the only way to properly hook it up is in stereo (one voice coil to each channel on the amp). Though you may be running it at 2 ohms bridged, most 2 channel amp are only 2 ohm stereo stable, and you will probably greatly shorten the life span of the amp continuing to run it like that. your best bet would be to try and sell that amp for whatever you can get for it, and put that toward a new amp that better fits your needs.

i owned two 929's. they are safe to 4 ohms mono. 2 ohms stereo.
