dont know much about them, a local shop is pushin me to get 2 ks500.2's to run my 4 cvx 12's, says they'll be better than 2 kicker zx1500.1's

There is a KS500.1 mini, KS500.1 standard size, XXD1500.

Better question is why are you comparing a 500@1 amp to a 1500@1 amp? Those CVR's wont handling those 1500.1's. And why an SQ Arc on shitty subs?

If they were recommending the KS1000.1, yes, strictly from and SQ stand point, I would take them over the zx1500's.

But, if SQ is what you are looking for....the CVX is not your sub of choice.

Zeff is a madman when it comes to amp design.

hes building my box, and he said those amps are g class, very efficient, and says the kicker amps **** and sound like ****, the subs are supposed to be 750rms, thats why i thought zx1500's would work

The 500.1's are class G/H hybrid.

What exactly is your goal with this build? The Arcs and the Kickers dont exactly match no matter which way you go.

If you're going with four 12" CVX's you're obviously not going for a sq setup. Loudness while still sounding good is probably what you're after, and the ZX's will do the job just fine. IMO, with subs, you can't tell much of a difference, if any, when trying to compare the sq of different amps that are of at least good quality.

Don't get me wrong, Arc amps are very nice...I just wouldn't waste my money on one for sub duty.

06 trailblazer, 4 cvx sealed box 4 1 cube chambers, and yeah i want to hit hard and loud but be fairly crisp and responsive

They're either Class G (stepped rail voltage) or Class H (semi linear variable rail voltage). A hybrid of the two would be impossible.

They're either Class G (Class A/B output stage) or Class H (Class D output). A hybrid of the two would be impossible. I'm about 99% sure that they're Class G.

Manual says class G/H hybrid straight from Arc's website.

so u think cvx are bad? like i said i havent bought new subs in like 7 years or so, and as far as i remember all the top end shops sold jl kicker rockford and memphis then, i just heard of arc today

Like to know how that's possible. The Class G and Class H are both theoretically hybrid designs. Class G uses a stepped power supply rail voltage meant to supply slightly more voltage than the outputs need to effectively increase the efficiency of the Class A/B output devices. The Class H does essentially the same thing but with a smooth variable rail voltage, essentially a Class D amp feeding a Class A/B output stage. The idea of both is the fidelity of a Class A/B amp with nearly the efficiency of a Class D. I guess they can call it whatever they want.
