arc amp is being a *****

arc amp works with only ignition on, but once engine is on, the amp shuts on/off rapidly non stop. any ideas?

this started happening after my positive wire under the hood fell off battery post during driving today and hit the hot engine.

Id change the fuses out, even if they look good to you.First thing Id do.By the wire grounding out like that, a fuse should have blown, and should have worked for you.Tis is another reason why I recommend, and use a dist fused block at the amps.Its cheap, and can save your amp, and just an extra precaution.

true. i dont have it fused pass the battery. ill make sure to add a fuse dirctly on the arc. i'll also check the fuses, i assumed that since amp still powers up, that they are good. but when this happened it also burnt something out inside cus the rear inputs no longer work (its a full range)

haha that doesnt console me. luckily this was the first amp ive ever bought from an authorized dealer, called him up and he said if there was something wrong with ti, theyd replace it. but just wish this wouldnt have happened at all. plus im out of town for winter break, so wont have sound until early next year. =(

yeah even he said Arc might replace it with the newest line model too. so that would be great, but lets hope a replacement goes as smooth as he made it sound lol.

hah, very true. this guy seems very cool and hes a respectable shop. so should go well hopefully. hes actually had a ton of his work featured on car audio and electronics magazine.
