AQ for sure if you have the cash, it's been tested and proven. The Crescendo isn't a bad amp by any means though. Probably another big batt in rear, since you have alt and batt up front already. And a voltage meter.

I had an AQ 3500. Loved it. Ran a 200 amp alt and 2 optimas.. Dropped to 13.2 at the most.

in order to gain 3 dB's you need to at least double your power (in most cases). 3 dB's difference is the human ears threshold for a noticeable change, Also you'll probably hit power compression by then... reducing the actual amount of power going to your woofers.

Older Yellowtops are good, but I wouldn't buy one new. They've had a bunch of QC issues that have been reported here and elsewhere.
