AQ2200D or DB Drive A7 2500.1

Which one would be a better choice for 2 HDC3 12's? I can get a brand new db drive a7 2500.1 for cheap even though they run for about $600 something brand new. Its pretty much between these two amps right now.

Depending how cheap, a forum member is selling some DD audio m2a for like 350 shipped. I would much rather take that. But out of those 2, the DB.

I dont think he'll still have those amps by the time i get the money, but you think the db drive would be the better amp over the aq?

thats all a matter of opinion, since they are both on pretty much the same level... not sure about db's new line doing rated tho

From what I heard, the new a7 does rated power. But what I wanna know is, which amp will last a long time and will give out the cleanest power even though theyre both class d's.

the db drive is a better amp and should last just fine they put out rated and then a little more. local shops two 3500s are clamping around 8900 at 1.2ohm, (.5ohm per amp) i dont remember the exact number but he's a local usaci competitor and makes finals just about every year. he abuses the hell out of his amps but he does have the electrical to back his amps as well

yea when i first saw my local guys truck i thought it would just be meh and it was like every other mainstream sponsored car but the guy who designed it went a step above and it pressures a 157.6 which is pretty good for mainstream. plus i know at finals last year he pulled steady demos for about 3 hours and the amps held up to the constantly dropping batt voltage.

he did say though for a daily driver it would be better to strap two amp that have one bigger one when it came to db drive. something about efficiency and the amp holding up better. he said that was why he swapped his a7 7500 for the a7 3500L's.

oh okay, thanks.. Seems like db drive will be a better amp then from all the posts so far.

my .02.. id strap 2 aq 2200s, SS dtr 2200, even 2 ap 1.5ks before id run the db. its just that vibe i get. it very well could be a good amp..but not what i would do.

cresendo makes a mean amp..

fosgate does as well, although its mainstream.

you can't give advice on a feeling u get from a company bro...

like I said--- their very comparable amps... if you give either of the proper electrical, they will both put out very clean power. I don't have any experience with DB's current line up... but have had good experiences with them in the past. and I run aq now, and love them

completely based off of my opinion. when i can walk around walmart and see the db drive name, i assume for the worst.

its the same way some people go about audiopipe and hifonics.
