AQ substage not what i expected

it is widely accepted to set the subsonic filter to 10hz below tuning frequency.

just FYI.

and that setup should pound some *******. im not sure why you are getting negative - or not near as expected results. id have to be there to toy with it. should be able to pull mid 40's easy.

and this whole thing about being outside the car when listening, i swear to god you people piss me off. do you sit on your roof or outside the car when you drive? your stereo should be quiet on the outside, not loud. im gonna start banning people.

I set my re-set my gain today for the AQ2200, its fairly easy I suggest you re-do them..
set your LPF to about 80-120hz (each turn on the nob is 5, and its 50-200)

set your SSF to about 35 (each turn on the nob is 1, and its 10-50)

ill go try that,

Be right back

x2 THANK YOU!

i like mine being quiet on the outside its just weird how its so loud inside and the outside its nothing

also my subs face up and port fires backward and the front and back of the truck when outside is louder than on the sides why is that and thats with the windows down

okay guys ..

I reset the gains and adjustments,

still left it port forward subs forward,

and its doing better ...

Still not qutie what i was expecting ..

But definately better,

Thanks guys ..

i set the gains by ear,
the lpf i barely touched ,

ill try flipping up the box,
The AQ2200D is shipped with the filters turned down to the zero position. If you "barely touched" the lpf you need to set it to around 100 to start with. Setting the gain by ear is not the best idea either. Give me a call and I will walk you through the amp settings.

Dude, listen to the people that are telling you to flip the box, subs up, port up. Should notice a difference then. You have it the worst way possible for the type of vechichle you have. I betcha it sounds killer once you do this.
still haven't confirmed wiring other that visual sub movement. You might try re-checking the wiring. You could do the 9v battery test on the speaker wires and really check which way the cones move.

ssf shouldn't be that high. Your going to cut out a lot of lows from the woofer. I the highest i would set it is 30hz.

my hdc3's sounded like *** unless i set my lpf to around 60... but thats all personal preference.
