AQ SDC2.5 15" and an AQ 1200

That sub is designed to take 600w rms and that amp does almost 900 @ 2 ohms. You could probably put the max power @ 2 ohms to the sub if you built the box a little smaller.

A box anywhere from 3.0-4.5 cu. ft. @ 30Hz will be good.

30 Hz? Isn't that a little low for tuning? And I could always turn down the gains couldn't I, that way I don't overpower it. I won't be doing any electrical upgrades also, I'll have my stock 130 amp alternator.

35-38 Hz.

You'll be fine with it on 900 watts, mine is. And your alt will be fine too, do the big three.

The 1200D is designed for the SDC2.5 series //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif The subs are just underrated.

If he mostly plays C&S music, although I have NO reason why he'd do that, then tuning to 35Hz would be better otherwise he'd be playing way below tuning all the time...

I thought the same thing, then I emailed DJ and he said they're designed for each other and it'll take 870wrms daily no problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

edit: Also, for OP, this is the box design that I made with the specs from DJ. Tuned to ~38hz, 4.2cf

Nice, I'm still learning. It's a process.

I'm actually thinking about doing a similar setup but with 2 12" sdc2.5's on the same amp.

I would put the full range to ch.3&4, and low pass on ch.5&6. The 6.1200 line out should be full range unless it has a dedicated x-over. In that...

It should be fine as long as you're not looking to upgrade in the future.

Its not a huge upgrade and I'd argue you likely couldn't tell the difference.
