ETA: No offense to Audio Que, but you have to admit... that amp is NOT the proper choice for 4 ohm power in the OP's case! A pair of RE SE 12s will barely move off of its 4 ohm output!

play with the subsonic filter. mine wasnt makin any noise before i adjusted it.

i hooked it up and my subs were in a ported box and the amp came at 10hz on the subsonic filter. so i fixed that, and wow.

I know, AQ has some very nice CS. When i ordered my amp i put the wrong mailing address in there. I called them the next day and they were very cool about it and switched it before it got shipped.

1. Rewire to 1 ohm (most everything else in this thread is pointless to do until you do this)

2. THEN Reset your gain (make sure your remote is set 3/4 way up)

3. Set your filters last, a good starting point should be ~80hz on the LPF, and ~1/3 octave below port tunning (probably turn it down more after testing)

Also this amp does not have a bass boost. You might have it confused with the bass/gain level.

After dropping the subs down to 1ohm, and talking with DJ for a few mins to help me with my settings, this thing pounds! I am a very happy customer and will recommend AQ to anyone that is looking for a very nice product with killer CS.

Indeed - I was about to say wire it to 1 ohm. At 4 ohms you won't get a whole lot.
