What vehicle will it be going in? It bumps pretty good. Are you really aware of how big 4 cubes is though. Mine is 3.5 and dont really have any trunk space but it does flex my car a hell of alot

I have a 2000 oldsmobile intrigue, don't judge it's my first car. And yes, I am aware of how big 4 cubes is because we made a 4.15 cubic foot box for my friends 15. His trunk is too small for it though, but mine is like twice as big as his.

Ether way they will slam..

You can't go wrong honestly..

The aq will handle 3 kw and the dc can handle 2500...

I'd probably go with the dc but that's just me..

I built my first box at 12, I had a 9515 at 15 if that old..

The level 5 needs 3kw+, unless he is going to pay for a alt new battery etc etc I think a xl would be a great system for any 16 yr old..

Just buying a huge woofer and big amp doesn't=killer install..

Do you think running a DC XL off of the AQ 2200D would need a new alt? Or could I get away with just hooking up a couple more batteries?

you could do the batteries , but will have to charge them every week until you get an alt

Adding batteries can hurt the alt ie if you discharge the batteries the alt has to try to charge the batteries and power the car/woofer..

Chances are your going to have some serious voltage drop drawing 3kw from the alt and battery..

What the stock output in amps(alt)?

If you have a 120 you might beagle to get away with adding another battery.. Any less than that get a alt..
