Well, I bought two 2 OHM DVC subs so I could wire each at 1 ohm. I just read the ohms on my dimm and its showing 1.6-1.7ohms. Is this normal? If thats the case then the amps rated 2200 at 1ohm will only be putting out like 1500 or so? Oye. Any way to help this??

I don't think 1.6 is right then. Maybe call or email DJ? Or maybe you got some dual 4's instead of twos. Measure each VC individually and see what they say.

First things first, check the resistance of your DMM leads. Just touch them together and see their own resistance. Mine usually reads .2-.3

Subtract that number from the coil readings you are getting.

Secondly, read each coil individually and see what they actually are. Just because they are dual 2 doesn't mean they are going to read exactly 2.0.

Hm. Good point. Never thought of my own dimm's resistance. Its a pretty shitty one so I bet its going to be up there. So it should be pretty close to 1 ohm though after being wired correctly? I'll recheck tomorrow when I take my car back to my garage.
