The load is reactive yes, I say inductance isn't key because most subs are in their capacitive states at the freq burps of rad X vehicles, and with the new He-Man coils and coils their equivalence the power compression factor isn't crazy like drivers of the yester years due to dual wrapping . A proper install takes that limit into consideration and I personally will not keep throwing power to a driver that is producing heat instead of more spl in an spl install. You seem very knowledgeable and I would love to take on a project with ya to see what we could come up with. I wasn't saying you were calling me a nube, simply that I was able of getting technical with you as opposed to having to have it "dumbed down" for me like alot of folks on here. Some guys on my ID Max hybrid forum couldn't even read the TSP's well enough to tell me the nominal re of the coil. Those AE AV subs are pretty sweet you running them with passives or porting? If you get the SD3500 I'd be interested in your review/opinion. As for me being reminded of Nick, you'd either get along great or hate each other, lol.

just a normal run of the mill ported box... nothing special.. I should be getting a dual spider to test soon along with a single spider... i have a ton of port area but its for a specific reason when dealing with the lamba drivers.. which i admit i never installed, but someone made me aware the gap is extremely tight... i bought the X from kenny and it had a misaligment problem.. john is working on a new driver for me... good guy.. from listing to it i think its going to be one hell of a driver for the money...
