AQ causing problems

not what you would think though, how would i go about reinforing the mounts on my headunit to cause it not to skip when the bass hits? when i put pressure on the faceplate with my hand it will stop the skipping but the second i remove my hand the skipping will start again.

made a video so you can hear and see, voltage is aright dips to 12.6- 12.4 on hard bass with rpm at 1.5k-2k. only electrical i have done is a yellowtop in back. gains still arent fully adjusted yet and my camera picked up no flex for you guys. stole the electrical tape idea from someone here was a good idea, but camera still couldnt pick anything up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Just an FYI: Having it in there too tight will be just as bad if not worse.

I've had better luck with the deck being loose.

ill give that a try, lucky i can use usb so it isnt a problem all the time but when i listen to cd's it gets kind of annoying

put some rattle pad around your head unit.

I have never had a head unit skip on a cd but i have also never hit above a 147 at 34hz either...

I'm still stuck in the 146s @34hz... hopefully i'll be gettin louder this summer.

link? or do you just mean eggcrate foam? wont that cause overheating issues if i wrap the rear of the unit in that?

also not using headunit for any power to speakers, everything is amped if that matters

well, it would be common not to block vents, wouldnt want to damage your HU.

I'm sayin, if you have to, use it where the head unit makes contact with somethin that is absorbing vibration.

secondskinaudio sells it. You can use anything really. It just depends on how your HU is absorbing vibration. You have to find that out to fix it unless you find it out by guessing.

It can be through the mounting locations or how it sits in the dash.

I'm a cheap sob I just fold up some card board and push it under the headunit to help secure it a bit. LOL
