yea i can get mine rebuilt to 200a for like 75 bucks here. vs buying a new one

Rebuilds "normally" only make power at high RPMs. They dont do jack at idle.. Check that before

No. Every car is different. There is no way to make such a blanket statement. Not to mention a general popular idea is that oh I just need 200a or what size alt. Most do not take into consideration that each car requires a different amount of amps to just keep up with what options they have/use. In some cases the reason it works more for some using there stock alt is because they have a car with a larger then normal alt stock do to all options, yet they do not use even a 1/3 of the options. Thus leaving more "left over" power from the alt.

So there is no way to "make it simple".

That's strange... I'm running 2 aq1200s, and a is acoustics USX 600f, never drop under 13.4. 2 batts and a 100ah alt

At first i had to always keep a eye on the voltmeter.. I didnt like that to much, "oh I have to turn it down cause im dropping to much". Now I can run fill tilt without worrying about anything. Thats a good feeling. Well worth the minimal extra cost. The alternator is the heart of your system.

Impossible!!!!!! E1 running over 1k needs a HO alt cause if u are not then you are just doing it all wrong. Good slogan for the alt manf's..

I wouldn't think you would agree with my statement. However, you are not even attempting to learn why myself and the vast majority insist that is the right way of doing things. You don't think we all started with the "lets add batteries..that will fix it" idea? We did. Then we learned why it does not work that way in the end.
