Check your grounds. What car? I have an optima d31 and stock batt and alt. No big three and dont go below 12
on stock elec it is, ive only blew 1 amp in my life and that was a connection problem. most amps do well staying above 12v. if im not mistakn they are called "12volt" systems right??? my amp never really gets hot. i play it all day and it goes strong. when i compete i dont burp for 3 secs, i run it full tilt for 4mins and never breaks downThat was a long time ago when I trusted peoples opinions. So yes I was doing something wrong

Must be nice.. But i love how somepeople think 12.5 is good to go
I do and what??? Sprinter and HC1800. Ran my deka with a stock wet top and what? My voltage meter dnt lie...hmm... mine rises to about 1.4 ohm... my alt is smaller then everyone who has posted in this thread...... and who said we mix and match batteries???
Many use batteries to cover up the small alt. If they run it long enough they will still run into alt issues. Remember, just because some one does it or has done it, does not make it the correct way to do it.and look more people with smaller alts running 2k with out 200a alts....
i kno you do lol. you told me... i mix batts to i was asking him how he knew...I do and what??? Sprinter and HC1800. Ran my deka with a stock wet top and what? My voltage meter dnt lie...
i kno this. ive ran the same alt since i had my blazer(knock on wood), i ran my saz with no bg 3 or extra batts(i know that wasnt smart)... im just saying you technically dont have to buy a 200a alt to support a 2k amp, thats my whole thingMany use batteries to cover up the small alt. but since ive added sa big 3 and a couple of battsMany use batteries to cover up the small alt. If they run it long enough they will still run into alt issues. Remember, just because some one does it or has done it, does not make it the correct way to do it.
With having a blazer I know for a fact that you past what the alt can do. Using batteries as a "band-aid" will work for the short term.i kno this. ive ran the same alt since i had my blazer(knock on wood), i ran my saz with no bg 3 or extra batts(i know that wasnt smart)... im just saying you technically dont have to buy a 200a alt to support a 2k amp, thats my whole thing

No doubt my alt mayor may not go out faster but its 65 bucks for a reman vs 500 for a custom one.. Stock one still going strong after 6 years of heavy load demands. At this rate I will need a new car due to other issues before I go threw enough alts to add up to $500 bucks..Many use batteries to cover up the small alt. Ok lets make this simple for 2k u need a 180+amp alt is that what u are saying???Saying this is like saying you do not need to go to school to be a doctor because you know how to cut some one open and it works.
