Must be nice.. But i love how somepeople think 12.5 is good to go
on stock elec it is, ive only blew 1 amp in my life and that was a connection problem. most amps do well staying above 12v. if im not mistakn they are called "12volt" systems right??? my amp never really gets hot. i play it all day and it goes strong. when i compete i dont burp for 3 secs, i run it full tilt for 4mins and never breaks down

and look more people with smaller alts running 2k with out 200a alts....
Many use batteries to cover up the small alt. If they run it long enough they will still run into alt issues. Remember, just because some one does it or has done it, does not make it the correct way to do it.

i kno this. ive ran the same alt since i had my blazer(knock on wood), i ran my saz with no bg 3 or extra batts(i know that wasnt smart)... im just saying you technically dont have to buy a 200a alt to support a 2k amp, thats my whole thing

With having a blazer I know for a fact that you past what the alt can do. Using batteries as a "band-aid" will work for the short term.

No doubt my alt mayor may not go out faster but its 65 bucks for a reman vs 500 for a custom one.. Stock one still going strong after 6 years of heavy load demands. At this rate I will need a new car due to other issues before I go threw enough alts to add up to $500 bucks..

If it works for one does not mean it will work for all.. You cant just tell somebody to do it like you do and they will be fine. With my stock 100 amp alt I would not of been fine. I would of bought $300 in batteries and then relized it dont work, then have to drop another $400 on a alternator I could of just got to being with.

Saying this is like saying you do not need to go to school to be a doctor because you know how to cut some one open and it works.

Sort of a rude way of saying it. But is what it is.

If you can not afford to go about doing things in the right order you should stay with something that won't require that much of an electrical upgrade. As stated before just because it works for some(for a short time) or that others do it..does not mean everyone should run out and do it. Telling them to do it and not educating them that it is indeed not the right way only will cause problems for many when they buy what is suggested and it does not work as they thought it would.
