Question is, is it really that simple??? Because ****, I'd do that myself!

Anything Allyn Rahim(the guy in the video) demonstrates is solid advice. It really is that simple to install deadener. You want to have the surface free of dirt, so you might need to wipe it down with a diluted all purpose cleaner, then follow that with a clean microfiber cloth.

Denatured alcohol or mineral spirits before the stick-up, for shizz.

I was recommended Audio Technix 60mil..

Maybe some deadener recommendations?

AT is good if you're on a budget (I have 1 roll of the 60 mil in my car and it helped kill a lot of the rattle). For the best of the best get SDS.
