I mean I have heard good things about them. There has to be a catch. I just ordered 2 brand new in the box for $660 shipped. 6000 watts for less than 1 sundown 3000? Also is there a difference quality/performance wise between the black and silver ones.

no catch. diff between black and silver is the year produced (black 2k8 model, silver 2k7). they are good amps, long as hell

Silver is last years model. That is 1ohm stable. Current model (black) is only 2 ohm stable.

Maybe I have it switched.

They are long and slim perfect for my application. I can fit 2 along the back seats of the explorer.
