anything I can do?

What are you considering the higher bass?

It will be totally install (enclosure) dependant but it may simply be a case of you're wanting more out of hte sub than it (or the enclosure it is in) is designed to faithfully reproduce?

It's a generally accepted axiom that at around 80Hz (and anywhere higher) bass starts to become localized pretty bad. Your substage shouldn't be trying to fill an extremely wide range of frequencies anyway.

Outside of that I wouldn't know. Never used any of the Solobarics so I'm no expert on their capabilities. If polecat sees this thread I would suggest he'd be imminently more qualified than I to speak on anything Kicker-related since he works for them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I agree with Prowler 100%, why do you want upper bass....I'd keep it below 100hz IMHO...that's why you want great midbass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Build yourself a different enclosure then, it has nothing at all to do with the fact that the driver lacks sound quality. Make something, or have a box made, that is tuned in the mid 30's, or upper 30's.

Do you happen to know the tuning of your current box, or is it prefab?
